A fresh new year begins, and the state of the fortress is strong.
Agriculture operates at peak efficiency. Resting in the farm’s irrigation system, recycled dwarven corpses provide key nutrients to help fertilize the crops. Truly, no resource goes wasted in Fikodesmul.
The gears of industry turn without fail. Carpenters, mechanics, craftsdwarves… their tireless work can’t be denied. A thin layer of vomit covering their workshops proves without a doubt that these fine men work healthy or sick, and don’t pause their labors even for a second to answer nature’s call.
Even the common people are ecstatic. “Our fortress is so wealthy, I have an opulent bedroom, office, and dining room all to myself!”, commented one titleless potash maker, èzum Zafalletmos, before returning to a hauling operation. Even the mayor herself would be jealous.
Yes, the fortress is strong, and we have no doubt that in a year’s time it will be even stronger. Long live Fikodesmul!
