Another child, Led Sakrithzuntir, has been taken by a fey mood! She has claimed a Craftsdwarf’s workshop. There may be something wrong with the children in our fort. Perhaps it’s something in the beer that becomes too diluted in the larger bodies of adults.

Led Sakrithzuntir has constructed Kindledmuscles, a pecan wooden drum worth 16800 dwarfbucks. It is encrusted with point cut pink jades and oval siltstone cabochons and decorated with pecan wood, sheep wool, and pig tail fiber. It menaces with spikes of lead. On the drum is an image of Ral Shootcarry, the dwarf, in pig tail fiber. There is also an image of oval cabochons in pink jade. Will wonders never cease?

A child, Datan Zasesdor, has withdrawn from society and claimed a Craftsdwarf’s workshop. Several days later, Datan emerges carrying The Sweetness of Towers! It’s a diorite earring worth 20400 dwarfbucks. It has bands of giant weasel leather, spikes of pink jade, the image of a black mamba man in galena, an image of a red spinach in galena, and an image of The Yellow Pillar, the giant weasel bone grate in giant weasel bone! Clearly, this child is a prodigy.

Migrants! We welcome seven brave souls, the highlight of which is Etur Lolokudiz, a 149 year-old asskicker with 19 kills to her name, including Songlocked the dingo man. She’s going directly into the Merchants of Braving to bash some skulls.

A caravan from Nish Oshur has arrived! It’s a good thing we definitely maybe dealt with the Kea problem for good. Let’s hope the visitors don’t mind the bits of Squirrel Man that are still hanging around the entrance, regularly horrifying our residents and causing them to vomit. The poor sods carrying out the trash have to wade through a twisting corridor of traps, blood, and puke to make it to the refuse pile. We should maybe draw straws to see who has to clean that stuff up. That or make everyone take their shoes off at the front door.

The Kea seem to have fled. There are no bodies, so I’m not sure how to feel about this turn of events. On the one hand, we’ve let a sworn enemy get away with murdering one of our own. On the other hand, thank god those flying monsters have gone to bother some other fledgeling fort. It’s time to increase the size of our guard.

1st Limestone, 252

The military have been attempting to kill four Kea for two weeks now. In addition to shiny objects going missing we’ve just discovered a dwarven child slain. This atrocity will not go unanswered. We’ll have blood for blood! …eventually

20th Galena, 252

Kea are harassing our workers. I’ve dispatched the military to shoot them out of the sky. They’ve been training for two and a half years now, so really this is more like an above-ground training exercise.

14th Malachite, 252

Migrants have arrived! There are eight of them, including a talented Weaver that’s 142 years young. He probably makes a mean bolt of cloth, but has no other skills. Clearly, we’re attracting the cream of the crop.

A farmer has been taken by a fey mood and claimed a Craftsdwarf’s workshop. Literally, her only skill is farming.

Several days later, Vucar Duthalkonos created The Yellow Pillar, a giant weasel bone grate. It is encrusted with square brilliant cut clear zircons and square brilliant cut yellow zircons. On the item is an image of an oak in giant weasel bone. For some reason, this thing is worth 56400 dwarfbucks. It is the most valuable thing we own and Vucar now stands as our sole Bone Carver. Good for her and glory to the fort!
